The Ibanez Standard SR655E-ABS Antique Brown Stained is available in a hip antique finish and convinces with optimal playing characteristics and variable sounds of the highest quality. Ibanez relies on an ash body in the cuddly Soundgear design and a screwed, five-piece neck made of Jatoba and walnut, whose slim "SR5" profile offers comfortable playability over the entire Jatoba fingerboard. The electric sound conversion is also done by a PJ pickup setup made of Nordstrand CND P and CND J pickups, whose distinctive and assertive sound also reproduces the deep B-string precisely and creates the right groove for almost every musical style. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band active tone control with selectable center frequency for the mids and bypass switch is also available for adjusting the sound. Last but not least the Ibanez Standard SR655E-ABS Antique Brown Stained is equipped with the massive Ibanez Accu-Cast B505 bridge and precise die-cast mechanics.

As always with DV247, my item arrived very quickly and well packaged. Visually, there is not a single flaw with the bass. It also feels and sounds amazing, with a lot of control over the types of sounds you have, even using a simple DI! The only issue I can find is that the Trebel EQ pot is a little loose, so will require fixing but i can do that myself. It still works, but moves when the dial is turned past halfway, but is not a major issue at all for me considering the value for money this bass provides. I am extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend an SR655 to anyone looking at taking on a 5 string bass
