Four-string soundgear Bass with trendy poplar burl look
With the Ibanez SR400EPBDXMGU Mars Gold Metallic Burst, Ibanez is sending a four-string soundgear Bass into the race, which not only attracts attention with its trendy poplar burl look, but also with excellent playing characteristics and a flexible sound. While the streamlined Nyatoh body with a poplar burl top and the slim SR4 neck made of maple and walnut promise particularly agile handling, PowerSpan pickups together with the power tap circuit and the active 3-band EQ ensure a wide variety of bass sounds that can be used to lay down the groove in almost any genre. Indestructible add-on parts in a harmonious gold finish complete the features of the standard SR400EPBDXMGU Mars Gold Metallic Burst Bass from Ibanez.
The Ibanez SR400EPBDXMGU Mars Gold Metallic Burst combines first-class playing characteristics and enormous tonal flexibility with a trendy look.
The ergonomically designed Nyatoh body and the five-piece neck in the SR4 profile promise a high level of playing comfort.
First-class playing characteristics
As a contemporary version of the Soundgear design, the SR400EPBDX combines a trendy look with the legendary, ergonomic playing comfort. While the orange-gold stained burl poplar top of the four-string is reminiscent of crystal-clear tropical waters, the ergonomic shape of the flat Nyatoh body promises a snug playing position with ideal balance both on the strap and on the thigh. The pleasantly flat, five-piece SR4 neck made of maple and walnut promises excellent playing characteristics with a nut width of 38 mm and just 19.5 mm of wood under the first fret, so that classic and modern bass techniques can be implemented with ease on the 24-fret Jatoba fingerboard.
Ibanez PowerSpan pickups with Power Tap Switch and the active 3-band tone control elicit a variety of bass sounds from the bass amplifier for almost any application.
Flexible Bass sounds
The Ibanez Standard SR400 Bass delivers a particularly extensive sound spectrum on the bass amplifier, making it a flexible all-rounder for almost any style of music. The electrical sound conversion is handled by two passive Ibanez PowerSpan Dual coil pickups, which offer three switching variants by means of a power Tap switch. While the serial mode provides powerful humbucker sounds with enormous punch, the tap mode offers finely articulated single-coil tones with lively dynamics. The PowerTap mode, on the other hand, combines both sound worlds into a solid hi-fi sound with enormous brilliance and a powerful low-end. Ibanez also equips the SR400 bass guitar with an active 3-band tone control, allowing you to adjust the sound character precisely to your own wishes.
Gold-plated die-cast tuners with closed housing keep the standard SR400EPBDXMGU bass stable in the correct tuning.
Indestructible Hardware in Gold finish
Last but not least, Ibanez completes the standard SR400EPBDXMGU Mars Gold Metallic Burst E-Bass with high-quality hardware that also meets professional demands and supports the dignified look of the E-Bass with the golden Finish. While the solid design of the Accu-Cast B500 bridge supports the lively sound character of the bass guitar, four individually adjustable string saddles guarantee precise adjustment of the intonation and string position, even when using powerful strings for low drop tunings. Practical openings in the top of the bridge also make it easier to change strings. Encapsulated die-cast tuners on the headstock in the slim soundgear design also promise precise and robust tuning.
