IBANEZ Standard SR305EBL-WBK Lefthand Weathered Black
left-handed five-string electric bass with PowerSpan pickups and active electronics
The Ibanez Standard SR305EBL-WBK Lefthand Weathered Black combines an incomparably high level of playing comfort with a modern, versatile sound spectrum in the best Soundgear tradition. While the streamlined mahogany body and slender maple and walnut neck contribute to the agile handling of the five-string electric bass for left-handers, the reworked PowerSpan humbuckers in combination with the active 3-band tone control deliver versatile sounds for every musical style.
The Ibanez Soundgear SR305EBL-WBK Lefthand Weathered Black combines high playing comfort and tonal variability.
Typical Soundgear playing comfort
The Ibanez SR305EBL-WBK Weathered 5 string nestles to the player with its mahogany body in the typical flowing Soundgear design, providing a stable playing position. The four-screw neck is made of five pieces of maple and walnut, while the flat "D" profile lies comfortably in the hand and on the Jatoba fingerboard allows fast basslines and complex grooves to go out of hand easily.
PowerSpan humbucker with active 3-band tone control
The Ibanez SR305EBL uses Ibanez PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups specially developed for this bass, which, in combination with the active Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band tone control, cover a variable sound spectrum. No matter if transparent solo and jazz sounds, a slick rock growl or a full thrust from the deepest bass cellar, the four-string always has the right tuning for every style and also represents the low B-string precisely.
Power Tap switch for sound variability
A special feature of the Ibanez SR305EBL Lefthand is the Power Tap switch, which switches the coils of both humbuckers from the powerful serial circuit to Tap or PowerTap mode. While the former delivers authentic single coil sounds with typical clarity and tone definition, the latter adds a fundamental bass component to this sound.
High-quality hardware with unshakeable reliability
On the body side, the Ibanez SR305EBL-WBK Weathered Black strings are supported by the proven Accu-Cast B125 bridge, whose solid construction contributes significantly to the long and evenly decaying sustain of the bass. At the same time, 16.5 mm string spacing offers space for clean strokes even when gripped with a heart, while the ball ends, which can be hooked in from above, make string changing much easier. At the headstock the strings are held by reliable Die Cast tuners, which guarantee a precise tuning.

I've never played bass before, but I play guitar. Play a bass was my dream. And my colleagues gifted me a certificate to buy a bass guitar. After research, I chose this one. It was a great combination of price, quality, and amount of strings. It came to me in a couple of days and when I tried it I've gone to nirvana b/c of sound. I'm not a specialist but I do recommend this bass.

An amazing instrument for the money. Low weight, excellent tones, smoothest and least sticky neck I've used on any guitar/bass in this price range. Had it for about 3 weeks now, can't find a fault on it. Sure, it doesn't sound quite like a bass 10 times the price, but I would gig with this any day.
