The Ibanez SR300E-MHP Standard (Metallic Heather Purple) combines an incomparably high level of playing comfort with a modern, versatile sound spectrum in the best Soundgear tradition. While the streamlined body of Nyatoh and the slender neck of Maple and Walnut contribute to the manoeuvrability of the electric bass, the reworked PowerSpan humbuckers in combination with the active 3-band tone control deliver versatile sounds for every musical style.
Soundgear Playing Comfort
The Ibanez SR300E has a Nyatoh body in the typical flowing Soundgear design that nestles to the player for a stable playing position. The 4-piece bolted neck is made of 5x pieces of Maple and Walnut, while the flat "D" profile lies comfortably in the hand and across the Jatoba fingerboard, allowing for fast basslines and complex grooves.
PowerSpan Pick-Ups
The SR300E is equipped with Ibanez PowerSpan dual coil pick-ups especially designed for this Bass, which (in combination with the active Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band tone control) cover a variable sound spectrum. Whether transparent solo/jazz sounds, dirty rock growl or a full boost from the deepest recesses, this instrument has a setting for every style.
Power Tap Switch
A special feature of the SR300E is the Power Tap switch, which changes the coils of both humbuckers from the powerful series circuit to Tap or PowerTap mode. While the former delivers authentic single coil sounds with typical clarity and tone definition, the latter adds a fundamental bass component to the sound.
High-Quality Hardware
The SR300E strings are supported by an Accu-Cast B120 bridge, the solid construction of which contributes significantly to the long and evenly decaying sustain of the Bass. 19mm string spacing provides space for clean strokes, while the ball ends, which can be hooked in from above, make string changes much easier. The strings are held in place by reliable Die Cast tuners on the headstock, which guarantee precise tuning.

I had this bass, sold it but I am think of buying it again. Very well made and very good sound. Rarely goes out of tune. Nice, funky, rounded sound for wide range of genres.
Very versatile instrument, you can really get any sound you like
perfect for intermediate players.
great price to quality ratio
I've never played bass before, but I play guitar. Play a bass was my dream. And my colleagues gifted me a certificate to buy a bass guitar. After research, I chose this one. It was a great combination of price, quality, and amount of strings.
It came to me in a couple of days and when I tried it I've gone to nirvana b/c of sound.
I'm not a specialist but I do recommend this bass.
An amazing instrument for the money. Low weight, excellent tones, smoothest and least sticky neck I've used on any guitar/bass in this price range. Had it for about 3 weeks now, can't find a fault on it. Sure, it doesn't sound quite like a bass 10 times the price, but I would gig with this any day.
