The Ibanez RGIB6 6-string baritone electric guitar in black is the first baritone member of the Iron Label series and has been designed to be one of the heaviest sounding guitars ever made.
The Ibanez RGIB6 features a basswood body and 28” scale three-piece maple and bubinga Nitro Baritone neck that allows for extra low tunings without losing any note definition or clarity. The neck is finished by a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard that only adds to the playability of the guitar.
The body of the Ibanez RGIB6 comes equipped with a pair of EMG humbucker pickups, a 60 at the neck and an 81 at the bridge that are the ideal setup to produce the tones that this guitar craves. Accompanying the pickups is a Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge, single master volume control, blade-style pickup selector and a killswitch.
The main features of the Ibanez RGIB6 6-string baritone electric guitar in black are:
The EMGs sound incredible-great for pinch harmonics
The string tension is great,I use a 2mm pick and chug out metal riffs on the low B string and the string doesn't flop at all,it's perfect
The 68 gauge string for the low B is incredible
I've even tuned to drop A and it works great
Even though it's not meant for shred or lead,it still can blast out a great solo
The three piece neck is beautiful and strong and the gibraltar bridge feels incredibly comfortable on your hand, especially if you are palm muting for metal riffs
Beautiful clean tones too,and the EMG 60 helps with this-I've played classical fingerpicking as well as clean arpegios and it's absolutely beautiful
Bottom line,if you play metal, and you tune down but you don't like the low strings flopping around, then this guitar is perfect for you.
Best guitar ever
