For the optimized bolt-on construction of the Prestige AZ2204N, Ibanez relies on first-class tonewoods that promise a lively sound. While the alder body with its generous contours sits comfortably on the body, the flowing super all-access neck joint guarantees unhindered access to the highest registers.
The bolt-on neck made from S-Tech Wood Roasted Maple is extremely comfortable to hold thanks to the pleasantly rounded AZ oval C profile, so that every solo or riff comes naturally to the fingers on the rosewood fingerboard with compound radius and stainless steel fretting.
Seymour Duncan Fortuna pickups with dyna-MIX9 circuitry
The electrical tone conversion of the Ibanez Prestige AZ2204N is handled by an HSS setup from the Californian pickup winder Seymour Duncan, which was specially developed for this model. Equipped with Alnico magnets and a moderate output, the Seymour Duncan Fortuna single coils in the neck and middle position together with the Fortuna humbucker placed on the bridge provide natural vintage sounds with a fine balance of bass, midrange and treble, which also capture subtle nuances in the playing and transmit them to the guitar amplifier. The Ibanez dyna-MIX9 circuit with classic 5-way switch and Alter switch promises a particularly rich palette of musical timbres for lively clean and overdrive sounds thanks to flexible switching options.

Last but not least, the Ibanez Prestige AZ2204N-VGF Ivy Green Metallic Flat is rounded off with perfectly coordinated hardware. Adjusted to rest on the body with five springs, the Gotoh T1702B tremolo with brass string saddles and block supports the lively vintage character of the electric guitar, but also enables smooth down-bending for harmonic tone embellishments. At the headstock, the strings are also guided over the bone nut with a straight pull before they are held by the precise and tuning-stable Gotoh Magnum Lock H.A.P. machine heads, whose height-adjustable winding axles allow precise adjustment of the contact pressure of the strings on the nut.
