The Ibanez Premium RG1070PBZ is part of the most recognisable range from this iconic manufacturer. The RG guitar has been defined by three decades of metal music and development, making them equipped for speed and strength. Built with an attractive exotic top, the body of this guitar has beautiful natural binding on the top and side.
An iconic Wizard 11-piece neck is crafted from wenge, bubinga, maple and purpleheart with a slim grip shape that helps to increase sustain and enhanced rigidity. This neck has a wenge fingerboard attached to it that is adorned with mother-of-pearl off-set dot inlays, jumbo stainless steel frets and Ibanez’s Premium Fret Edge Treatment. This attention to detail leads to premium hand-rolled fret edges that enhance the speed and comfort of this guitar. The stainless steel frets give this guitar a bright tone and features a long durability and smoothness. Luminescent side dot inlays make it easy for players to see fretboard position marks when performing on dark stages.
Equipped with DiMarzio pickups, the combination of Air Norton, True Velvet and Tone Zone models offer the player depth, warmth and rich dynamics when combined with built-in 5-way pickup switch. An Edge-Zero II Tremolo Bridge with a ZPS3Fe Tailpiece gives this guitar supreme tuning stability and precise intonation adjustment. The Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads achieve incredible tuning stability, cutting down string-changing time.
UPD. A week or so ago faint noize appeared on low B and E strings. Now it spread on A a bit too and progressed in loudness to the state of rendering instrument useless. It goes from inside the neck, like truss rod resonates or something. But on any fret of three lower stings. Guess it's going back to shop.
Got this beauty as my first seven string. Was nervous about possibly ugly top /visible top joint in center of guitar, since top is made of two parts, but totally won the lottery and got gorgeous one.
Stainless steel frets with ibanez premium fret edge treatment, copper shielding, PAF-7 pups - guitar feels very nice overall.
Only minor complaint may be that it was not set properly out of the box, but it took like five minutes to set intonation and action heigth right.
Oh, and wenge/bubinga neck is kinda lightly textured, which might turn off some people, who like only silky smooth polished necks.
So - solid instrument with impressive look (may vary, probably, but I got awesome one). Very happy with purchase.
