For the construction of the Ibanez JS1CR30 Chrome Boy, Joe Satriani wanted a classic wood combination that would guarantee a balanced and powerful sound. Accordingly, the body, wrapped in the glossy Chrom finish, is made of alder, while the classic body has an alder finish. Neckplate screwed neck three pieces of maple and Bubinga is made. The streamline design nestles comfortably against the body, while the rounded "JS" profile on the 24-flush Palisander fretboard allows any solo or reef to go comfortably out of the hand.
With one on DiMarzio Satchur8 the bridge and one Sustainiac on the neck, the Ibanez Chrome Boy delivers versatile sounds with unlimited sustain.
