With the J. Custom JCRG20138-BGA, handmade in the Japanese Custom Shop, Ibanez presents a fine eight-string metal axe, the number of which is limited to three pieces.
With its breathtakingly grained flamed maple top in Brown Garnet Shadow finish and the elaborate tree-of-life fretboard in selected rosewood, the J. Custom JCRG20138-BGA offers an impressive look that will attract every eye.
The J. Custom JCRG20138-BGA has an extended scale length of 27" (686 mm) and titanium reinforcements from KTS in the screwed neck made of maple and wenge to meet the extended frequency spectrum and increased string tension of the eight strings. These measures guarantee a sharp sound and precise attack on all strings.
The active EMG 808 pickups implement this basic sound perfectly and provide the amplifier with a present sound with high definition and assertiveness, which integrates all strings with uniform dynamics into the harmonic sound image.
The construction of the massive FX Edge III-8 was borrowed from the well-known Ibanez Edge Tremolos. The double-locking construction guarantees perfect intonation and tuning stability of the J. Custom, even on the hardest stages. High-quality Gotoh tuners work with indestructible reliability and make tuning processes child's play with their creamy running. The Ibanez J. Custom JCRG20138-BGA is also equipped with Gotoh Free Lock belt holders that hold the instrument securely to the belt.
