Ibanez Iron Label RGAIX7FM-TGF Transparent Gray Flat
I was quite excited to pick this up after finding out that Ibanez have really stepped their game up in regards to choice of pickups. They've always constructed amazing guitars, but the pickups have almost always had to be replaced, particularly on the affordable end of their products.
I'm happy to say that the DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups used for this guitar are fantastic, and this guitar plays like a dream straight out of the box. Thanks to the fine folks at Music Store for ensuring that it plays well before shipping, as I haven't had to bring it for a setup. As with all Ibanez guitars, the construction is fantastic, and the flat finish both looks and feels incredible to hold. The Nitro-Wizard 7 neck feels the way you want an Ibanez neck to feel: fast, smooth and comfortable during long playing sessions.
The mahogany body gives the low and mids some really great tones, and this guitar resonates better than any basswood guitar I've had. If you're in the market for a new 7 that sounds a little different to what you're used to, then this is what you're looking for.
