With a flexible pickup setup and classic quilted maple look, the Ibanez GRX70QA from the Gio series has a lot to offer for both ear and eye. Two Ibanez Infinity R humbuckers and an Infinity RS single coil in the middle position equip the GRX70QA for modern applications ranging from clean jazz and funk to the tugging regions of hard rock and metal. Of course, the ultra-slim Ibanez GRX neck is connected to the body via the ergonomic Ibanez All Access Neck Joint, which makes playing in the high positions of the fingerboard easy.
Everything I would expect at this price :) Very happy with this guitar. Fast , no nonsense delivery and service from the Seller. Thank You DV247 :) The action was a bit high and got higher as I went up the neck towards the bridge, so I put a small shim in the neck pocket to tilt the neck back a fraction and also raised the neck height a fraction with a post-it note in the neck pocket. (under the shim). Then Lowered the saddles and now after fitting new Polyweb 9-42 strings, the guitar plays like a dream. I am amazed at how good the pickups sound and will not be upgrading them as I normally would on a low priced guitar. The volume drops a little when using the neck and middle pickups together, but nothing drastic and sounds lovely. The colour is great, although not bright green as some pictures online would indicate, but quite classy looking nevertheless, even though the guitar looks almost like a plain black guitar under low light in the evening. No sharp fret ends. smooth tuning keys although one of them has a very small amount of turn where nothing tunes and then it does, but it's only just noticable. Most strings did not keep tune after using the Tremolo, so had to gently file nut slots a tiny bit wider and lubricate as I have to do on nearly every guitar I have. Will probably upgrade the top nut at some point anyway. Although the tuning is 'very' stable now when I use the tremolo. :) It has a 6 screw Tremolo bridge which works fine although I would have prefered a 2 pin Tremolo. Had to put a fair amount of engineers tape on the Trem arm thread to stop it swinging down loose - (As Normal), no big deal. The Trem arm is nice and thick and sturdy with no wobble in the thread, even without tape, unlike your average thin cheap Strat Trem' arm. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this Ibanez guitar. Looks and sounds and plays great now and has no scratches or dings. It's a better guitar than I would have expected at the price, but then Ibanez keep impressing me with their quality. All the adjustments I have made to this guitar to make it play so much better didn't take long and has been absolutely worth it and are very common things to do on a low priced guitar - as you can see online. I bought it knowing that. Love this guitar. if I was a complete begginner, new to guitar, I could probably play this Ibanez Gio GRX70QA straight out of the box after 'tuning up' and be happy with it. I hope this helps somebody :)
I purchased this guitar for my teenage son who has just started to play, so I wanted a budget guitar. The sound is really great and I'm very impressed with both the quality and aesthetics of the guitar.
Delivery was efficient and within the estimated date of delivery, which having read other reviews I was expecting it to be later. The item was very well packaged and I was sent the tracking details for DHL and then for Parcelforce once the guitar had made it to the UK.
I can recommend using this company based on my experience and this guitar.
Stunning product, wonderful service, especially in the current climate... the guitar arrived 4 days earlier than their already quick delivery.
Will definitely use again!
I've bought the set offered by MusicStore for my daughter so she can have a guitar of her own to start playing. Although I was the first one to try it. I was shocked by the sound of the guitar. Not that it looks amazing it sound amazing as well. I highly recommend it.
The staff from MusicStore are also great. I've messed up by buying it without making an account and the guys helped me correct some mistakes I've made. Thank you again!
