The Ibanez Gio GRG170DX-SV Silver at a glance:
For almost three decades, the RG design from Ibanez has held the undisputed top position among metal guitars. Ibanez carries on this tradition more than appropriately with the Ibanez Gio GRG170DX-SV Silver. Classic contours of the RG design including lowered armrest and "tummy cut" always ensure absolute control in terms of handling and feel, both on the leg and on the strap, while the legendary Wizard neck profile - known for ultimate flat necks - provides the ideal basis for fast licks and leads. Not least thanks to the large fretboard radius. In-house Infinity pickups in the H/S/H setup deliver a versatile sound image from the bitingly aggressive sounds of the bridge position to the mid-range warmth of the neck humbucker. Accordingly, the GRG170DX-SV Silver is extremely versatile and can be used for all kinds of Blues fun, from rock to metal. A T102 Tremolo with 2-point suspension and encapsulated tuning machines are used for the Hardware.

This is a great guitar, ideal for beginners who want a good guitar for a very confortable price. I personaly recommend this guitar for people who want to play Metal, Hard-Rock, etc. The guitars sound is very good, it really stands out because this is a cheap guitar. The neck is very confortable, and its ideal for the ones who like to play fast riffs, but its great for slow riffs also, very confortable. The tremolo is not the best Ive ever seen, but its fairly good. In general its a great guitar with great sound, it stays in tune and Im sure any guitar player will be satisfied with it.

Thats my first guitar and I have it for 4 years and it has never let me down! Not for professional use, but its great for beginners and for the intermediate level! In my opinion, the best low-range guitar! Thank you once more Ibanez!

This was my first electic guitar! Now Im 18 and I buy this guitar one year ago. I play in a coverband and on this guitar, you can play every music genre that you want! The 5-way picks on this guitar are very good, and the colour (Black Night) is very cool and casual! The price of this guitar is very confortable for beginners! Thats the thing that make this guitar very good and cool for beginners. I buy this guitar here, and the service of Musicstore is the best service Ive ever got! Every little thing that I need, I buy it by Musicstore! The best music store in Europe! In one word, GREAT!

The sound of the guitar sounds amazing, especially for its low price! I always loved the HSH setting, giving you more possibilities of sound.
I would recommend changing the strings right away, because the strings on my guitar seemed rusty near the head of the guitar, but after applying fresh strings the guitar sounded much clearer and better.
The design itself is also quite nice, the wood of the neck feels very smooth, which -in my opinion- is quite nice especially if you've been playing for a few hours.
One minus point would be the whammy-bar: I've experienced several problems with that. After using and applying the whammy bar multiple times, it becomes loose and doesn't stay in place, which bothered me and the strings detuned quite easily. However I didn't really use the whammy-bar all too much, so it didn't really matter most of the time.
Furthermore I owned this guitar as my first guitar a year and a half ago: as a first guitar this is an excellent choice for people who are people who are motivated to begin playing the electric guitar.
