Neck-Through Construction and Authentic Feel
The heart of the Bass Workshop UB804 is without a doubt the neck-through made of maple and walnut, which carries a Jatoba fingerboard with elegant Offset dots. The powerfully rounded UB4 neck profile and the tight compound fretboard radius convey the authentic playing feel of a full-grown double bass.

AeroSilk pickup system
Thanks to the innovative AeroSilk pickup system, the Ibanez UB804 Upswing delivers an official double bass tone at the bass amplifier. The system reproduces both bowed arco playing and plucked pizzicato techniques with natural dynamics. In addition, the Preamp offers separate gain controls for each string, and a balanced sound can be adjusted.

Delivered very timely and in perfect condition. I have had great fun putting it together and practicing ready for a jazz band practice next Wednesday. I play a bass guitar and whist this is similar it has a steep learning curve for muscle memory. Great sound.
