Ibanez Bass Workshop SRAS7-DEB 2nd Generation Ashula Dragon Eye Burst

The Ibanez Bass Workshop SRAS7-DEB 2nd Generation Ashula Dragon Eye Burst is a truly unique creation from the Ibanez Bass Workshop. This one-of-a-kind instrument features a hybrid design with a combined fretted and fretless neck. The bass has a total of 7 strings; 3 three on the fretless side of the neck and 4 on the fretted. This gives the player a truly all-in-one instrument or gives the more adventurous player a tool for incredible sonic experimentation. The fretted section of the bass is equipped with Ibanez SRAS Super J single-coil pickups that deliver great clarity and a rich, dynamic tone. The fretless section is equipped with the Ibanez Aerosilk piezo system that delivers an authentic ‘upright’ tone. The Aerosilk has three trim-pots on the back of the bass to adjust the output level for each string. This allows the player to adjust accordingly for various string gauges and personal preferences. The control panel provides excellent flexibility with a volume control for the magnetic pickups, one for the piezo, a balance control for the magnetic pickups, 2-band EQ (Bass/Treble) for the magnetic pickups, a tone control for the piezo and a 3-way selection switch that engages the magnetic pickups, the piezo system or a mix of the two. The tuning for the fretless section is A, D and G. The tuning for the fretted section is E, A, D and G. The bass also features a removable finger rest, Mono-rail bridge, purpleheart/rosewood fingerboard, poplar burl/ash top, mahogany body, roundwound/flatwound strings and a dragon eye burst finish.
