Woods, pickup and hardware
The traditional construction with laminated basswood for the back, top and sides as well as a stabilizing center block characterizes the sound with an airy acoustic color without disturbing feedback, while two Ibanez ClassicElite humbuckers with ceramic magnets on the guitar amplifier promise a nuanced and dynamic sound. Furthermore, the "Artcore AS" profile of the glued Nyatoh neck promises optimum playability across all 22 frets of the walnut fingerboard. Last but not least, the Ibanez Artcore AS73 is equipped with high-quality Hardware in the form of precise die-cast tuners and the tried-and-tested combination of Gibraltar Performer bridge and Quik Change III Tailpiece.
Very impressed all round with this guitar. Fantastic value for money. Only slight thing is that the frets were very scratchy but they will be fine after a good polishing

This guitar is just brilliant value. Ibanez have done an excellent job in terms of design and, on the basis of the specific guitar I received, the factory are producing to a really good quality. Mine is in the metallic olive finish and is very attractive. The sound quality/tone of the two well balanced humbuckers is lovely through both my amps and the electronics are quiet the do the job very well indeed. Intonation and action seem to me to be just right straight out of the box, so thank you DV247 for doing the work for me - much appreciated. If, like me, you're looking for a budget 335 clone that neither looks nor feels budget, then the AS73 is a great choice.
