With the Ibanez Andy Timmons ATZ300-BK Black, Ibanez Japan presents an absolute premium version of the Andy Timmons electric guitar.
African Mahogany & S-Tech Roasted Maple
The Andy Timmons ATZ300-BK Black is based on an ergonomically contoured body made of high-quality African mahogany and a neck made of S-Tech Roasted Maple, which is bolted on using a Super All-Access Neck Joint. The maple wood used has undergone a sophisticated heating process, which not only gives the neck its unique look, but also additional stability and resistance to temperature-induced deformation. The basic construction is completed by a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with exclusive 'ATZ Special' fingerboard inlays.
DiMarzio The Cruiser & AT-1
The Ibanez Andy Timmons ATZ300 draws its enormous variety of sounds from its triple pickup configuration from the US pickup legend DiMarzio. While two DiMarzio DP186 The Cruiser humbucker pickups in single-coil format in the neck and bridge position provide powerful sounds without any annoying background noise, the conventional DP224 AT-1 humbucker, specially manufactured for Andy Timmons, provides expressive Blues leads and chords with a differentiated resolution. All three pickups are controlled via a blade switch with five positions, a common volume control and separate Tone controls.
Hardware from Wilkinson & Gotoh
It goes without saying that Ibanez Japan provides the Andy Timmons ATZ300 with high-quality hardware parts from renowned manufacturers. The Wilkinson VSVG tremolo, which is mounted with just four screws, expands the playing possibilities and offers extensive adjustment options in terms of intonation and string action. The headstock, on the other hand, features six Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners with a practical locking function and innovative 'Height-Adjustable Post' technology. The height of all six winding axes can be adjusted so that each individual string can be set to the optimum string angle behind the nut.
