The practical poplar body sits comfortably against the player thanks to generous front and back contours, while the flowing all-access neck joint makes it easy to reach the high registers of the four-screw maple neck. The flat AZES neck profile and the slightly shortened 25" scale length (635 mm) also ensure pleasantly smooth playability of all strings.

Thanks to the dyna-MIX8 circuit, the Essentials Ceramic Single Coils deliver versatile tones for almost any style of music.

Thanks to the flexible pickup setup with three Ibanez Essentials Single Coils, the AZES31 on the guitar amplifier delivers a wide sound spectrum for almost any style between blues, funk, jazz or rock. The single coils, equipped with ceramic magnets, have a harmonically balanced sound with lively dynamics that allows clean sounds to bubble out of the speaker with the necessary brilliance, while in Overdrive the necessary assertiveness is given. The dyna-MIX8 circuit provides eight different combinations of the pickups via the 5-way blade switch and the Alter switch so that in conjunction with the general volume and tone controls, a precise adjustment of the sound is possible.

High-quality and reliable hardware equipment completes the AZES31 Purist Blue electric guitar from Ibanez. With the fixed Ibanez F106 bridge, a modernized hardtail is used on the body, which supports a lively sound behaviour with the strings anchored in the body. The "Comfort Round" tailpieces also combine optimal adjustability of intonation and string action with a pleasant surface texture, and rest the heel of the hand on the bridge for palm mutes. In addition, Ibanez split-shaft tuners promise a precise and robust tuning of the electric guitar.
