The iLoud Precision 6
The iLoud Precision 6 is a handmade nearfield monitor from the Italian manufacturer IK Multimedia. Like all 3 models of the iLoud Precision series, it is equipped with advanced DSP control, and can be calibrated to the respective room via the included measuring microphone. Equipped is the 2-way system with a 6.5" ultra-lightweight paper woofer and a 1.5″ tweeter with chambered fabric dome. In addition, a bass reflex port, for extended low bass response, is located on the rear panel.
How does the iLoud Precision 6 sound?
The Precision 6 offers an extremely linear frequency response from 45 Hz to 30 kHz (+/- 1 dB). This ensures absolutely true-to-life reproduction of any audio material. In addition, during its development, meticulous attention was paid to ensuring that the audio material from both speakers arrives at the listener's ear simultaneously and absolutely phase-linear. This results in absolutely precise transients, which in turn contributes to a finely resolved stereo image and a good breakdown of spatial depth. It also prevents hearing fatigue - a boon during long recording, mixing or mastering sessions.
Built-in room correction
The iLoud Precision 6 features a fully automaticroomcalibration system based on IK Multimedia's proven ARC System technology. After connecting the included microphone, the monitor can be calibrated to the room using either controls on the back panel, or the X-MONITOR software.
X-MONITOR Software
The included X-MONITOR software allows user-defined sound adjustments and can be used for room calibration of the speakers. On the user interface, the original and corrected frequency curves can be viewed and switched back and forth in A/B comparison. In addition, the software allows emulation of frequency response and impulse behaviour of popular studio monitors, as well as typical consumer devices such as hi-fi systems, laptop speakersor cell phonespeakers. A practical option tocheck thecompatibility of your mix with other monitoring systems.
