Acoustic guitar amplifier with two channels, integrated effects and 400 watts of power
With the Hughes & Kettner era 2 black, the amplifier manufacturer from the Saarland presents the second model of the era series that has been bombed like a bomb. With a juicy 400 watts of power delivered by a team of two eight-inch loudspeakers and a tweeter, the amplifier delivers a powerful, particularly natural sound. Two channels are available for instruments or vocals, which have a full effect section in addition to the double-switchable equalizer. Last but not least, the rear of the Hughes & Kettner era 2 has extensive connections for direct pickup on stage or in the studio.

Have a £3k Bose PA L2 system but this amp is much better at producing a quality amplified guitar sound. The vocals are also of a very high quality and it reproduces the Texture of the voice. All the electro acoustic guitars I have tried have come to life through this amp. Would have liked a bit more flexibility with the mixer section but as a guitar/ vocal amp it is superb. There was a issue with one of the volume controls ; it has a fault that makes it stiff to turn past the three -quarter point, but is functional and not worth sending it back for. ( hence the 4 stars for craftsmanship, otherwise it is of very high quality construction and relatively lightweight for its 400 watts)
