While Paul McCartney helped the four-string bass version of the instrument to world fame, the violin guitar is a hot tip among guitarists in search of iconic sixties sounds of the beat era. Following the classic recipe of violin making, the body of the Violin Guitar consists of a sprucetop on a maple body, while the two-piece maple neck is fitted with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. However, the two Höfner Ignition Staple pickups used are the absolute highlight. The two humbuckers in the neck and bridge position deliver the best vintage qualities of the fifties and sixties and are particularly resistant to unwanted interference and background noise thanks to their double-coil design.
