Shortscale hollow-body electric bass with Höfner Toaster pickups

The Höfner HCT-500/5-BK President Bass CT Black is a classically designed short-scale hollowbody bass with an authentic '60s feel. Accordingly, the short 30" scale combined with the convenient profile of the three-piece maple-beech neck provides a smooth playing feel, while the laminated maple full resonance body features a laminated spruce top and shapes the sound with a sonorous timbre. Two Höfner Toaster pickups and the traditional passive circuitry, which provides two pickup on/off switches and a solo/rhythm switch in addition to volume and tone controls, provide for the adequate sound transformation with a clear vintage character. An ebony bridge with compensated string rests, a long trapeze tailpiece and classic open vintage-style tuners complete the Höfner HCT-500/5-BK President Bass CT Black.

Hofner HCT500/5 President Bass in Black

Always wanted a Sutcliffe Hamburg inspired bass. Totally different to other basses I've played even semi-acoustics like Gretsch due to it's wider body. But it as a nature of it's own that sets it apart. Sounds equally great acoustically without an amp.
