Based on the legendary 1073, the two-channel Heritage Audio HA73X2 ELITE microphone preamplifier delivers vivid clarity and pressure to any microphone or instrument, and with up to 80 dB gain, the HA73X2 can be used with any type of microphone, from condenser to dynamic to ribbon microphones. Carnhill's hand-wound input and output transformers give any source, whether microphone, line or DI instrument signal, warmth, richness and assertiveness. The separate gain controls for the inputs and outputs allow the signal to be selectively colored by the transformers without overloading the output stage. The DI circuit is located in front of the transformer of the microphone input: This preserves the specific character of a fed-in bass DI signal. The HA73X2 offers two channels with classic sound characteristics on one treble unit for stereo recordings or two individual signals.
Features of Heritage Audio HA73X2 ELITE;
Dual-channel microphone preamplifier modeled on the 1073
Manufactured to the same specifications as the acclaimed 73JR and DMA73 models.
Hand-wound transformers from Carnhill, St. Ives, England.
Three-stage, fully discrete microphone preamp with 80 dB gain.
Line input via separate XLR jack to add heat and pressure to tracks already recorded.
20 dB PAD in the microphone input prevents the input transformer from being overloaded if necessary.
LO-Z switches the input impedance of the microphone transformer from 1,200 to 300 ohms.
High-pass filter at 80 Hz. Fully discrete Class A circuit.
Extremely high impedance JFET-based DI input
Rack format with 1 height unit
External universal power supply for worldwide use
Made in Spain
