500 watt bass head with tube preamp and solid-state power amp
Due to the high-voltage, Class A tube preamp, the Hartke LH500 offers a warm and harmonious sound, which is reproduced by the 500 watt power amp with rich pressure and enormous volume reserves. In addition to the 3-band equalizer and the Brite switch for adjusting the sound, the Hartke LH500 head is also equipped with a balanced direct-out.
The LH500 has separate inputs for active and passive basses, a 3-band tone control with bright preset, an integrated limiter and a balanced DI output.
Intuitive operation with 3-band EQ
The clearly structured front panel of the Hartke LH 500 Head allows an incredibly intuitive and fast operation of the bass amplifier, so that the right sound can be found in no time. The musically designed 3-band tone control allows effective intervention in the sound spectrum, while the Brite switch can be activated for additional brilliance, giving the sound a radiant assertiveness. In addition, a switchable limiter is available to cut peak levels and prevent unwanted distortion from occurring. The Hartke LH500 also features a serial loop-in for connecting external effects units, while the balanced direct-out makes it easy to pick up the top in the recording studio or on stage.
The LH500 has a serial effects loop and two connections for speaker cabinets. The fan cools the power transistors of the powerful output stage.

Great sound. The best for the price. It is very simple to handle, not a lot of knobs. Simple, fast and eficient. You cant go wrong. Better than a lot of more expensive amps. I tried one some time ago and I will order one for me soon. Cant wait. Excellent!
Powerful amplifier, extremely versatile. Excellent construction, the amplifier is equipped with a basic and efficient equalizer. There are two keys on the top: a useful bright and a useless limiter. The tube preamp gives the impression a warm and enveloping sound, while the solid state makes it powerful and durable. Great amp for all bassists!
The best sound I have ever had straight out of the box, it is impossible to go wrong. If you want rugged construction ,power for days and gig friendly controls this is the baby for you. All at low cost, I pair it with 2x 2x10XL @ 4OHMS. Not for fans of knob twiddling , ideal for the other 90% of us.
