Bass reflex birch sub
The LINEAR 5 MKII 118 Sub A is an 18" bass reflex birch multiplex subwoofer with uncompromising performance and dry, defined bass response down to the lowest low end. The remotely controllable DSP offers 4 directly selectable presets. This allows Cardioid setups to be applied vertically or horizontally without metering: Set up - select Preset - Done! With the DSP-Out another subwoofer can be controlled separately. In addition, the stereo preamplifier also allows 2.1 setups to be set up in an uncomplicated manner. The LINEAR 5 MK II 118 Sub A is the most powerful solution for LINEAR 5 MK II systems.
HK Audio DSP CONTROL Remote Software: Everything under control - anytime, anywhere.
Full control over the entire sound reinforcement setup, even during sound check and show, is already familiar from large touring systems or the LINEAR 7, LINEAR 9 and ELEMENTS series. HK Audio DSP CONTROL allows remote control of all LINEAR 5 MK II components, from the stage monitor to the complete PA via network and the in-house HK Audio DSP CONTROL software for Mac and PC. The functions of the powerful DSPs, such as volume, EQing, limiting, Delay and polarity, are thus directly accessible from FOH at any time.
Components that do not have their own DSP technology can also be connected to the DSP OUT of the LINEAR 5 MK II loudspeakers and controlled just as conveniently remotely. Per DSP OUT a fully parametric 10-band EQ, high-pass filter, low-pass filter, delay, polarity and limiting are available. Independent of the DSP setup of the LINEAR 5 MK II speaker.

The acoustic properties and stability of wood cannot be matched by any other material in loudspeaker construction. For these reasons, all LINEAR 5 MK II components are built into wooden cabinets. Due to the combination of MDF and birch multiplex, the mid/high units and subwoofers are extremely compact and comparatively light despite the robust material. Every single loudspeaker is manufactured in Germany in a combination of high-precision, computer-controlled manufacturing and adept manual work, using pollutant-free wood, water-based lacquer and a strict recycling and waste avoidance strategy.
