With the Guild D-55E
In order to produce an all-encompassing sound, the manufacturer uses a Sitka spruce top and an Indian rosewood body for the construction of the all-solid D-55E acoustic guitar, which in combination produce punchy basses as well as defined mids and clear highs. A Scalloped-X bracing and a thin nitro finish are also instrumental in producing a fast and complete sound, as they promote the vibration behavior of the woods. A flat mahogany neck with a 'C' profile and an ebony fingerboard also guarantees easy gripping of the 6 steel strings, which intonate cleanly on the long scale length of 651 mm thanks to a compensated bridge inlay and a 43 mm wide saddle made of bone.
The gold Gotoh SE700 open-gear tuners also illustrate the high quality of the instrument and enable precise tuning. The large headstock proudly displays the company logo, which harmoniously matches the high-quality mother-of-pearl and abalone V-block inlays worked into the fretboard. A generous tortoise pickguard adorns the top, which is finished in Antique Sunburst and creates an aesthetic transition of the individual color gradations. For stage use, the D-55E Dreadnought is equipped with an L.R.
