The Guild Bluesbird Black convinces with classic looks and authentic blues and rock sounds.
Singlecut construction and resonance chambers
For the construction of the Guild Bluesbird Black, Guild uses the proven ingredients for a singlecut electric guitar. Accordingly, the Bluesbird has a mahogany body, whose generous resonance chambers are stylishly completed by a solid maple top. The glued neck is also made of mahogany and lies comfortably in the hand with the "Vintage Soft U"-profile, so that every note can be played comfortably on the rosewood fingerboard.
Seymour Duncan Pickups for the Guild Bluesbird
The pickups of the Guild Bluesbird come from the Californian pickup guru Seymour Duncan and convince at the amplifier with a classical sound. The Seymour Duncan SH-1n '59 humbucker on the neck delivers a warm vintage tone that makes every note sing with vocal mids. For hot licks and riffs, the Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB is also installed on the bridge, which penetrates every note with lush bite in the mids and highs in the band sound. The pickups are classically managed via a 3-way toggle switch as well as individual volume and tone controls.
Hardware from TonePros and Grover
The Guild Bluesbird Black is completed by high-quality hardware equipment that combines classic looks with unlimited functionality. Accordingly, a Tune-O-Matic bridge and a tailpiece from TonePros are used on the body, which support the sound development and sustain of the electric guitar through the fixed locking on their bolts. From here the strings run with 24.75" scale length (628 mm) towards the headstock, where they are guided over the bone saddle to the indestructible Grover Sta-Tite Open Gear tuners.
