Clean and overdrive sounds with lively dynamics
The Gretsch G6636-RF Richard Fortus Signature Falcon Centerblock V-Stoptail Black convinces as a semi-acousticsignature guitar of the longtime Guns N' Roses guitarist with a straightforward concept and unadulterated rock tones. A traditional semi-hollow construction with laminated maple body, center block and two Custom Wound Filter'Tron pickups creates the foundation for a brilliant tone that brings clean and overdrive sounds to life with lively dynamics. The neck in the pleasantly slim "Standard and profile also promises excellent playing characteristics for gripping riffing or fast soloing. A hardware setup tuned for tough touring and studio use completes the G6636-RF Richard Fortus Signature Falcon electric guitar from Gretsch.
The Gretsch G6636-RF Richard Fortus Signature Falcon Centerblock V-Stoptail Black delivers premium rock tones as the signature guitar of Guns N' Roses' rhythm guitarist.
The comfortably playable "Standard U" maple neck is glued to the semi-resonant body.
Doublecut Falcon with center block
In the construction of the Richard Fortus Signature Falcon, Gretsch pays special attention to a lively sound that does not tend to feedback even at high stage volumes, and comfortable playing characteristics. The chic double-cut body made of laminated maple wood is accordingly stabilized by a solid center block and, with a mere 1.75" frame depth, offers excellent handling both on the strap and on the thigh. At the same time, the slim "Standard and Profile" of the glued maple neck provides excellent playing characteristics, so that every riff or solo comes off with ease on the 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
Filter'Tron pickups wound to Richard Fortus' specifications with treble-bleed circuitry and no-load tone control promise lively overdrive tones.
Custom Wound Filter'Trons and Straightforward Circuitry
Two Gretsch Custom Wound Filter'Tron pickups are used as pickups on the G6636 Richard Fortus Falcon, which skillfully capture the airy character of the semi-acoustic guitar and impress with first-class dynamic behavior at the guitar amplifier, so that clean and overdrive sounds can be easily shaped via playing technique. The straightforward 3-way circuit with controls for volume and Tone also guarantees unerring operability even during the wildest stage show. While the volume pot features a treble bleed to prevent treble loss when turning down the volume, the no-load circuit takes the fully turned up tone pot out of the signal path and thus ensures a particularly direct and unadulterated sound.
Grover Rotomatic tuners guarantee stable and accurate tuning of the Richard Fortus Signature Falcon.
Indestructible hardware
An indestructible hardware setup, fully tuned in terms of functionality for tough stage shows and long studio sessions, completes Gretsch's G6636-RF Richard Fortus Signature Falcon. From the stylish V-stoptail, the strings are fed through a TonePros TP6 LockingTune-O-Matic bridge, which not only promises precisely adjusted intonation and string action, but also supports the guitar's lively tonal character by locking onto the pins. Behind the GraphTech nut, Grover Rotomatic tun ers also ensure precise tuning with unshakable stability.
