The Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz CT1-J484 in Satin Walnut Glaze is a compact 4-piece shell set including tom holder. All shells are made of seven-ply mahogany and have been finished with 30° bearing edges. Due to the smaller dimensions, the Gretsch Catalina Club is easy to transport and can be accommodated on smaller stages without sacrificing sound. Remo heads are fitted as standard, which are stretched over the drums by 1.6 mm thick, triple-flanged steel hoops. The bass drum of course has wooden hoops in set color.
The Catalina Club drumsets comes with a new tom suspension, which is in contact with the shell at only two points. This allows an almost undamped vibration behavior of the finely crafted mahogany shells. With the Catalina Mini lugs, this effect is further supported and enhanced. The supplied tom holder is attached to the bass drum using the "Round Badge" tom rosette. An additional mount on the tom holder of the Catalina Club Sets allows the mounting of an optional 7/8" cymbal arm.
The Catalina Club drumsets have also been visually refreshed with the new round logo badge and new colors. In terms of visual appearance, you can choose between different wrap or satin finishes, as usual from the Catalina drums in the noble retro look.
