The Golden Age Project GA-251 MkII is a newly designed copy of the historic Telefunken ELA M 251, which in its time was produced by AKG as a successor to the Neumann U-47. Only the very best components were used in the design to ensure a transparent and loss-free signal path that meets professional standards. All electronics of the GA-251 are done by hand, point-to-point, using silver wire and silver solder. For best signal integrity with minimal noise sorgen HiFi resistors from DALE and polystyrene capacitors. A specially developed output transformer and the sophisticated power supply complete the concept. With this microphone you acquire more than the ten thousandth clone, but namely a high-quality craft product, which brings the sought-after sound of old classics into the present at an acceptable price with the combination of modern components, a thoughtful design and uncompromisingly high-quality connection.
