Stopbar Tailpiece for Top Wrapping
With the Göldo Tailpiece "Wrapper" the German Parts manufacturer offers a replacement for classic Stopbar tailpieces, which is especially aimed at fans of 'Top Wrapping'. In contrast to the classic string routing through the stopbar over the bridge to the tuners, the strings are routed from front to back through the tailpiece and wrapped over the tailpiece in the style of classic wraparound bridges. This results in smoother bends thanks to a flatter string angle behind the bridge and improved sustain behaviour of the instrument. For this special type of string guide, the "wrapper" was provided with special notches on the top.
