The Godin Multiac Nylon SA Natural Highgloss at a glance
With its clever solid-body construction and flat neck design, the Godin Multiac Nylon SA Natural Highgloss guarantees a natural nylon string sound and easy handling on stage. High-quality equipment and clean processing round the instrument qualitatively perfectly and provide a balanced price/performance ratio. In addition, the pickup system specially developed for the manufacturer Godin allows the connection to the optionally available Roland GR-55 guitar synthesizer. The scope of delivery of the classical guitar includes a robust bag.
Construction and woods
To elicit a natural sound from the solid-body construction, the manufacturer uses a fine-grained, solid spruce top that rests on a mahogany body. This is equipped with two sound chambers so that the guitar also produces a remarkable sound unplugged. In addition, the gossamer-thin high-gloss finish supports the vibration behavior of the tonewoods used and also ensures a fast response. The flat mahogany neck with a fingerboard made of Richlite can be grasped cleanly and obligingly in all 22 frets, as the fretboard has a slight radius and a generous cutaway provides optimal access even in the higher registers.
Design and Hardware
Classic tuners with chrome hardware and 16:1 ratio guarantee precise tuning of the 6 nylon strings. Furthermore, a 48 mm wide saddle made of GraphTech TUSQ ensures a clean intonation on the entire scale length of 648 mm. The heart of the Godin Multiac Nylon SA is undoubtedly the extensive pickup system, which has the sound directly at the bridge via one transducer per string and can be individually adjusted via a preamp. This is equipped from the outside to the inside with a sliding control for the pure guitar volume, the 3-band equalizer (Treble/Mid/Bass) and for the volume of the synth function. In addition, the Preamp includes a mid selector positioned between the two push buttons for switching up and down the synth program. A 6.3 mm jack can be used to send the actual guitar signal to an amplifier, with the 13-pin output for the synthesizer as an additional option.
