Equipped with fat rhythm EB Bass Humbucker in the neck position and a Lead EB Bass Humbucker in the bridge position, the Thunderbird is able to cover a wide sound spectrum. From fat Low End Growl and Reggae to transparent Jazz, it will satisfy the demands of every bassist. The full-contact hardware three point bridge, designed by Jeff Babicz, is responsible for the great resonating transmission, while the two mahogany wings of this Bass give it that characteristic Thunderbird form.
Even in 2015, Gibson has given the Thunderbird a series of optical finesse: Pearl Inlays, headstock veneer, the famous Thunderbird logo on the pick-guard and an elaborate Vintage Sunburst finish

Great playing bass, smooth and fast. Great sounding bass, from classic TB to J bass thanks to new alnico pickups with coil tapping feature. Heaviest output of any passive bass I ever played. The babicz bridge offers great sustain, control and ease of use. Grover tuners, nut, fretboatd, you name it, it's on point. The flawless nitro finish smells like sweet belgian chocolate and it's kept in place by the classic gibson hardshell case. Great stuff, delivered without cost the next day.
