With the Studio 2017 Gibson Les Paul HP Lefthand from the High Performance series presents Gibson a linear Player's Guitar , which does without unnecessary optical decoration and only the sound in the foreground places. Accordingly, the electric guitar has a mahogany body with Ultra Modern weight relief, a glued mahogany neck and a classic maple top for the typical Les Paul sound. The neck has a slender " Slim Taper " profile and a contoured neck foot, which allows unhindered access to the high positions of the fingerboard, so that every note can easily be heard when playing the electric guitar. With its Gibson 490R and 498T pickups, the Gibson Les Paul Studio 2017 HP Lefthand delivers modern Humbucker sounds for every musical genre at the amplifier, but they cannot deny their close relationship to the legendary PAFs. In addition, two push/pull potentiometers provide additional timbres, the functionality of which can be changed via internal DIP switches. In addition, the electric guitar is equipped with the Gibson G-Force tuning system, which automatically puts the guitar in the right tuning and makes different tunings conveniently available.

With the new Soloist Slim Taper Neck with Fast Access Heel, playing in high registers is pleasant and smooth, while a G-Force Auto Tuning System on the headstock combined with the Titan Zero-Fret groove ensures perfect tuning results at the touch of a button.
490R & 498T Humbucker
Gibson's 490R and 498T on the neck and bridge evoke the sound of the late sixties when the blues became harder and rockier. The pickups with slightly increased output remain dynamic and deliver a whole world of sound from the brute hot humbucker sound to the soft Woman Tone with different settings of the volume and tone potentiometers. Last but not least, the internal DIP-Switch allows various assignable switching options such as coil splits via push/pull function of the two volume Potentiometer .
