The Gibson Les Paul Classic HP 2017 Electric Guitar HS Heritage Cherry Sunburst is a 6-string model featuring a maple top, a mahogany back and neck, a rosewood fretboard, and a heritage cherry sunburst finish. This range of Les Paul Classic HP guitars are new for 2017 and contain a range of modern upgrades that enhance the aesthetic and playability of each guitar.
The improved characteristics on this guitar include a Grade-A flamed maple top (usually reserved for high end Custom Shop models), chrome hardware with titanium bridge saddles, and G-Force tuning machines. Equipped with PAF-style '57 Classic humbucker pickups, this guitar produces a powerful sound and enables 150 sonic combinations from a new wiring system.
This Classic HP 2017 guitar is built with a classic mahogany body with a 9-hole weight relief for a comfortable action to enhance your playing. Furthermore, a Fast-Access heel and slim taper neck profile utilises the highly playable Soloist's neck width.
Each of these guitars comes with improved hardware including an aluminium Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, titanium saddles and locking steel studs for a rock solid intonation regardless of playing style. A premium HP aluminium case is included with each guitar as well as a leather strap, a multi-tool and a polishing cloth to help you keep your guitar in good condition.
When I received it, mine was particularly well setup. I regret the G-force mechanism because this guitar stays in tune like never seen on a Les Paul :) and I barely have to use it. I love the look. I Love the feeling when playing. I Love the neck join, sooo confortable and I love the smell of the guitar :).
I guess I'm lucky enough to have this guitar as my first electric guitar. It's a perfect beast in all senses. The classic legendary look, stuffed with a lot of modern features of Gibson's HP line. The guitar came all set-up from the factory, all you have to do is to rock it hard. The build quality seems excellent too, and the alu case is fancy as hell (not sure though how sturdy and reliable it is if you're mostly on the road with it).
