The Gibson Hummingbird Studio RW Natural comes with advantageous features and full equipment
Classic woods and an innovative bracing provide the best sound results
Proven tonewoods and innovative Scalloped-X bracing.
The voluminous dreadnought body in combination with the all-solid construction produces an assertive sound that makes the guitar an ideal and convincing stage instrument. This is complemented by the Scalloped-X bracing used here, whose top slats are filed deeper in the centre, unlike those of the traditional X-Bracing. The resulting better-vibrating soundbox provides an even more powerful sound with strong basses. Full basses and concise mids are also provided by the rosewood body, while a Sitka spruce top contributes brilliant tones for a very balanced overall sound.
The mahogany neck and finger-friendly dimensions provide a pleasant playing feel
Pleasantly playable mahogany neck.
Since mahogany is exceptionally resilient and also has a pleasant weight, it is quite rightly one of the most popular woods for guitar necks. Together with the non-slip Advanced Response neck profile, the mahogany neck of the Hummingbird Studio RW Natural fits well in the hand and, with a very slim 43.8 mm nut, ideally fulfils all requirements for Flatpicking and powerful strumming. Particularly noteworthy is the shortened scale length of 628.6 mm, which is particularly beneficial for inexperienced fingers, as less force is required when gripping. The compensated Graph-Tech TUSQ bridge inlay also guarantees a lower string action.
The L. R. Baggs pickup system for a great stage presence
L. R. Baggs Element
The L. R. Baggs Element preamp gives the Dreadnought guitar a perfect stage performance. This is an under-saddle pickup that transmits an unadulterated sound and thus reproduces the sound of the guitar completely true to nature. The control panel in the sound hole allows an individual adjustment of the sound to the ambient conditions and personal preferences with the help of volume and tone control.
A beautiful design completes the guitar
Sophisticated design
Visually, the Gibson Hummingbird Studio RW Natural also knows how to impress with attractive details in combination with its Natural finish. The high-gloss finish perfectly accentuates the fine grain of the woods, while the parallelogram inlays and the Hummingbird pickguard with its filigree hummingbird motif are absolute eye-catchers.
