The Gibson Firebird, inspired by the US road cruisers of the sixties, is without question one of the legendary designs of the Solidbody electric guitar. With the Firebird Studio trimmed for merciless performance, the guitar maker from the States now combines the famous extroverted and ergonomic shaping with solid hardware in the form of Mini Grover tuners and the proven Tune-o-Matic/Stopbar combination, juicy Gibson USA 496R and 496T humbuckers and a pure straight-ahead design in Pelham Blue finish.
The proven recipe for a classic Firebird feeling is made up of characteristic components such as the slim taper profile mahogany neck, which has been popular since the early Paula models, and a firm and resonant glue joint between the neck and two-piece body made of hand-selected mahogany.
As one of the most important pickups of the last century, the PAF made entire genres possible with its sound and is still appreciated today for its unmistakable character. With the 496R and 496T pickups, Gibson makes a statement in the tradition of the original and combines it with a differentiated sound with ceramic magnets and adapted and hotter output for modern styles.
Of course, the Gibson Firebird Studio is equipped with solid and durable hardware. Six Grover Mini Rotomatics in combination with a tektoid saddle provide precise and long-lasting tuning results, while a Tune-o-Matic bridge in chrome finish provides outstanding adjustment possibilities for string position and intonation via six individual string riders.
