The Gibson Firebird Custom Ebony Limited Edition combines the flowing design of Ray Dietrich's pen with the noble appointments of the Gibson Custom Shop and modern tuned humbuckers to a powerful electric guitar with character. The traditional full mahogany construction with glued neck is used, while the gold-plated hardware is classically composed of Tune-O-Matic bridge, stop bar and Grover Rotomatic tuners.

Gibson Firebird Custom in full mahogany construction
Under the classic design of car designer Ray Dietrich, the Gibson Firebird Custom hides a traditional full mahogany construction with a glued neck that promises a powerful basic sound. With the "Medium C"-profile of the neck, the electric guitar also offers a high playing comfort, which allows every riff and lick between the 22 frets of the Richlite fingerboard to slip easily out of your fingers while playing the electric guitar.
Gibson Humbucker with modern tuning
For the electric tone conversion of the Gibson Firebird Custom, the Custom Shop Team uses two Gibson humbuckers with modern voicing, which provide the right tone for modern playing styles of blues, rock or metal. The Gibson 498T, for example, is a particularly hot Alnico V humbucker that delivers the right tone for burning riffs and solos with a sharp focus on the mid-spectrum. On the neck, on the other hand, the Gibson 490R, equipped with an Alnico II magnet, provides warm, singing sounds. The pickups are controlled by a 3-way toggle switch and individual volume and tone controls.
Classic Hardware and Custom Appointments
The elegant gold hardware underlines the character of the Gibson Firebird Custom Limited Edition and at the same time convinces with unrestricted functionality. The proven pair of Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece promises not only a comfortable adjustment of the string position, but also guarantees an exact intonation. The reversed headstock also features Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners behind the Corian saddle for precise and stable tuning. Last but not least, the typical Gibson Custom Shop appointments, including elaborate mother-of-pearl bindings and block inlays, create an elegant look.
