Semi-acoustic guitar with small body made of laminated flamed maple and '57 Classic pickups, including case
The Gibson ES-339 Figured Sixties Cherry from the Gibson Modern Collection combines an extremely handy body in Electric Spanish semi-acoustic construction with elegant appointments that give the electric guitar the dignified look. Combined with the semi-hollow body made of maple laminate, the popular '57 Classic pickups provide first-class guitar sounds with a light and airy vintage character. With its mahogany neck in Rounded C profile, the ES-339 Figured also offers a high level of playing comfort. Last but not least, the classic hardware with Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum stop bar and Grover tuners completes the ES-339 Figured Semi-Hollow electric guitar by Gibson.
Classic Semi-Hollow with a small body.
Thanks to the extremely manageable body format, the ES-339 Figured impresses with comfortable handling without sacrificing the lively and resonant semi-hollow sound. For the construction of the guitar, Gibson naturally uses a three-ply maple-poplar laminate, which provides a beautiful look through the top layer of figured maple. The solid maple center block also reliably prevents feedback at high volumes. For high playability, the set mahogany neck features a pleasantly full Rounded C profile.
Gibson '57 Classic humbucker for vintage sounds
At the guitar amp, Gibson's ES-339 Figured Sixties Cherry impresses with a pleasant vintage character that skillfully captures the characterful timbre of the Electric Spanish design. Responsible for this are the popular Gibson '57 Classic Humbuckers, which are authentic PAF replicas with Alnico II magnets and an airy sound. Here, the Plus version at the bridge with subtly increased output provides juicy overdrive sounds. A hand-wired circuit with Orange Drops for extra smooth treble roll-offs also grants full control over tone color.
Authentic hardware
Last but not least, the Gibson ES-339 Figured comes with the typical hardware that has proven itself since the Fifties. The tailpiece is a classic aluminum tailpiece, from which the strings are guided over an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with adjustable intonation and height. The headstock also features Grover Rotomatic tuners for precise and stable tuning of the ES-339 Figured.
