Semi-acoustic electric guitar with satin finish and Gibson Burstbucker pickups, serial number 11626701
Produced by the Gibson Memphis Division, the Gibson ES-335 Satin Faded Cherry has a silky matt finish that gives it a grandiose look and a pleasant feel. At the same time Gibson Burstbucker pickups in combination with the classic constructed semi-hollow body provide authentic blues, rock and fusion sounds.
The semi-acoustic Gibson ES-335 Satin Faded Cherry has a maple/poplar laminate body with solid centre block.
Typical semi-acoustic construction
The Gibson ES-335 Satin Faded Cherry is based on Ted McCarty's classic semi-hollow construction and features a three-layer maple/poplar laminate body stabilized by a solid maple center block. In this way, the Gibson ES-335 Satin Faded Cherry combines the warm, woody sound of a hollow body with the feedback insensitivity of the electric guitar. The neck with the classic "Rounded C" profile offers a rich grip for grasping chords or fast licks without a mill.
Two Gibson Burstbucker pickups provide authentic vintage sounds.
Gibson Burstbucker for classic humbucker sounds
The electric tone conversion of the Gibson ES-335 Satin Faded Cherry is done by a Gibson Burstbucker 1 on the neck and a Gibson Burstbucker 2 on the bridge. The humbuckers carry the genes of the legendary PAF humbuckers of the golden 1950s and, thanks to Alnico II magnets, deliver a warm vintage sound that transports the sonorous resonance of the semi-acoustic electric guitar to the amplifier with natural dynamics. The proven circuitry with individual volume and tone controls allows different sound nuances to be called up.
