GIBSON ES-335 Dot Graphite Metallic
Semi-Hollow electric guitar with MHS II humbuckers, including case and certificate
The Gibson ES-335 Dot Graphite Metallic combines the classic, since 1958 established semi-acoustic construction with two powerful humbucker pickups and turns out to be a versatile electric guitar for blues, rock and jazz. While the body with the striking cutaway is made of three-ply maple-poplar laminate and reinforced by a solid centre block, the glued mahogany neck with the pleasantly rounded "Rounded C" profile lies perfectly in the hand. In addition, two powerful Gibson MHS II humbuckers deliver powerful and dynamic sounds that are convincing in both clean and overdrive mode. The hand-wired Gibson Memphis Tone Circuit with Orange Drop capacitors also guarantees versatile tones and silky treble roll-offs. Of course the Gibson ES-335 Dot Graphite Metallic is equipped with the classic hardware ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece and Grover Rotomatic tuners.
The Gibson ES-335 Dot Graphite Metallic is built in the USA and delivers with two MHS II humbucker pickups versatile sounds between jazz, blues and rock.
ES-Body in classic Semihollow design
The body of the Gibson ES-335 Dot is made up of a traditional 3-layer construction of maple and poplar wood and features a stabilizing center block that reduces the feedback susceptibility of the ES-335 Dot to a minimum even on higher gain settings. The mahogany neck in the classic rounded neck profile also follows the historical guidelines and features a 22-flush rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays used until 1962.
Gibson MHS II Humbucker
With the MHS II Humbucker, Gibson is sending two newly developed humbuckers into the race. The double spool humbuckers are based on the coveted T-top humbuckers of the mid-sixties. In contrast to the MHS humbuckers, both spools are wound evenly with polyurethane winding wire and produce classic sounds with balanced output and warm mid-range. Separate volume controls and tone controls are available for long-range control, whose hand-wired orange drop capacitors provide soft and vocal treble roll-offs.
