With the Gibson EDS-1275 Doubleneck Cherry Red presents the Gibson Custom Shop presents an authentic reissue of the unmistakable electric guitar with two necks, which was first introduced in 1963 and became an absolute icon of the guitar world in the hands of countless rock stars. The electric guitar is made in the traditional set-neck design with a twelve-string and a six-string neck and delivers a wide-ranging sound that includes harmonic cleans with natural Chorus as well as juicy rock sounds. While four Custombuckers with the typical EDS-1275-circuit take over the electrical sound conversion, optimally co-ordinated Vintage-StyleHardware complete the EDS-1275 Doubleneck electric guitar from the GibsonCustom Shop.

Both mahogany necks of the EDS-1275 have a comfortable "Slim C" profile and are glued to the mahogany body.
Traditional set-neck construction
With the construction of the EDS-1275 Doubleneck guitar the Gibson Custom Shop naturally follows the historical specifications from the beginning of the sixties. The mahoganynecks are glued to the mahogany body and carry a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with beautiful split parallelogram inlays. With the identical "Slim C" profile, both necks also provide agile playing characteristics, allowing both complex chord voicings on the 12-String neck and fast solos on the 6-string neck to be executed with ease.
With two Gibson Custombucker pickups per neck, the EDS-1275 Doubleneck elicits varied sounds with vintage character from the guitar amp.
Custombucker Pickups
As pickup for both necks of the Gibson EDS-1275 chooses the Gibson Custom Shop chooses the sought-after Gibson Custombuckers. The humbuckers, equipped with Alnico III magnets and unwaxed coils, turn out to be authentic recreations of the legendary PAFs and capture both the natural Chorus of the twelve-string neck and the typical sound of the six-string neck with fine detail resolution. The central toggle switch determines which neck is active with the corresponding pickup set, while the traditional 3-way switch with separate volume and tone controls allows you to precisely adjust the tone for the selected neck.
On both headstocks of the EDS-1275 double-neck guitar, Gibson Deluxe tuners ensure accurate tuning.
Vintage-style hardware
Last but not least the Gibson Custom Shop the EDS-1275 Doubleneck Vintage Cherry electric guitar with Hardware vintage style. While two ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridges allow for optimal intonation and action adjustment of each set of strings, the signature 1275 tailpieces allow for convenient string changes.
