In the construction of the 1964 Historic Reissue ES-335, the Gibson Custom Shop naturally follows the specifications from the golden sixties. The vibrating body made of maple-poplar laminate is stabilized by a solid center block made of maple so that despite the airy acoustic tone no feedback spoils the sound enjoyment. In addition, the glued mahogany neck comes in the pleasantly strong "Authentic '64 Medium C-Shape", so that on the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard every lick comes out of the fingers as if by magic.
With custom bucker pickups and semi-acoustic construction, the 1964 Reissue ES-335 delivers premium vintage sounds.
Gibson Custom Bucker
With two Gibson Custom Bucker pickups, the 1964 Reissue E-335 Semi Hollow delivers premium vintage tones on the guitar amp for the classic styles of Blues and rock. As authentic PAF reissues, the pickup armed with Alnico III magnets convinces with a detailed output of the hollow-body sound and an airy dynamic response. The typical, hand-wired 3-way circuit, which features separate volume and tone controls for each humbucker as well as paper-in-oil caps, allows precise adjustment of the timbre.
Kluson tuners in the historically correct "Single Line, Double Ring" design promise precise tuning.
Authentic hardware equipment
Also in terms of Hardware the Historic Reissue ES-335 convinces with authenticity down to the smallest detail. On the body, the combination of aluminium tailpiece and ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge established under the aegis of Ted McCarty ensures precise adjustment of intonation and string action.
