500-watt bass amplifier with 4-band EQ and boost circuitry
With the Gallien Krueger MB 500, the American company presents a practical 500-watt bass top that is optimally suited for the rehearsal room, the recording studio and the stage. The Class D power amplifier promises a rich sound with powerful punch and lively dynamics, while the analogue FET preamp creates the basis for a warm sound with precise sound reproduction. In addition to the Contour control for general lowering of the midrange spectrum, the GK MB500 head offers an active 4-band tone control for precise adjustment of the timbre. With the switchable boost circuit, the head also delivers a rich growl for assertive rock sounds. Last but not least, a serial effects loop, a balanceddirect out with pre/post switch, a headphone jack and two Speakon jacks for connecting speakers complete the Gallien Krueger MB 500.
