Traditional construction with high playing comfort

For the construction of the G&L SB-2 MN Sonic Blue, G&L relies on a classic design whose lines guarantee a high level of playing comfort. The body is made of mahogany, while the screwed-on maple neck lies comfortably in the hand thanks to the slim "Medium C" profile and lets every note go out of the hand on the maple fingerboard as if by itself.

G&L MFD Pickups

Two G&L Magnetic Field Design Pickups (MFD) are responsible for the electric sound conversion of the G&L Tribute SB-2. During their development, a powerful yet detailed sound was used. The MFD Split Coil in the middle position convinces with a powerful sound that reproduces every note with rumbling power, while the MFD Single Coil on the bridge convinces with a wiry presence and high assertiveness. The pickups are managed by a straight passive circuit with two volume controls.

G&L Saddle Lock Bridge

Last but not least, the G&L Tribute SB-2 MN Sonic Blue is equipped with high-quality hardware whose indestructible functionality allows a long-lasting joy of playing. Accordingly, the G&L Saddle Lock bridge is used on the body. Due to its solid construction with a projection extending into the body and the lockable string riders it supports the first-class sound development of the bass and at the same time guarantees a precise adjustment of intonation and string position. On the headstock, precise mechanics in classic vintage style ensure stable tuning.
