Future Sound Systems Gristleizer Filter TG3 is a filter module for modular synthesizers in Eurorack format. Gristleizer modules are based on an old effects unit by industrial pioneers Throbbing Gristle. The filter of the Gristleizer Filter TG3 works differently than most filter modules, as it is based on a JFET controlled multi-feedback bandpass filter. Besides some frequency control inputs, it also adds register and resonance controls to the original filter circuit. Its characteristics are not unlike a wah-wah pedal, but it can also produce other vocal tones, especially with multiple parallel approaches. The Resonance control allows the circuit to easily self-oscillate, so the TG3 filter can also be used as a sound source.
