Versatile loadbox for guitar amps
The Fryette Power Load IR is a particularly flexible load box that is not only suitable for taming powerful guitar amps, but also turns out to be a perfect tool for stage and recording with analog and digital speaker simulations Studio.
Reactive load resistor
At the heart of the Power Load IR is the reactive load resistor inherited from the award-winning Fryette Power Station, which can be easily combined with powerful guitar amplifiers thanks to its 200-watt power handling and selectable impedance. By recreating in detail the complex interaction of amplifier and speaker, the Reactive Load promises a natural sound experience and playing feel, with two three-position tone switches determining the basic sound.
The clearly structured controls provide full control over the settings of the Fryette PL-IR Power Load IR.
Analog speaker simulation
The analog speaker simulation of the Fryette Power Load promises a latency-free performance with maximum dynamics and a natural sound character. The sound of the simulated speaker can be adjusted via the two midrange controls, while the Emphasis control and Air/Bite switch are responsible for the microphone simulation.
Digital loudspeaker simulation
The absolute highlight of the Power Load IR is the digital speaker simulation, which promises a particularly natural sound for direct recording and recording through the use of impulse responses (IRs). The integrated Impulse Loader offers space for a total of 16 IRs, which can be transferred to the load box via the USB port.
The rear panel of the Power Load IR presents the clearly arranged connections for guitar amplifiers, the outputs analog and digital speaker simulation and the headphone output with its own effect path.
Headphone jack
Last but not least, Fryette equips the Power Load IR with a dedicated headphone jack that allows you to play the guitar silently within your four walls at home. A practical detail is the effect path, which can be used to exclusively enrich the headphone signal with your own effects.
