Fifties Precision Bass Vintera II Series
The Fender Vintera II '50s Precision Bass MN Black from the second edition of the popular Vintera series of the company from California combines the typical elements of the Fifties and classic Fender construction, for an authentic vintage feel. The distinct sound with rich mids is created by a Fender Vintage-Style 50s split-coil pickup in the middle position, which comes through on the bass amp with the iconic warm and dynamic Fender sound. The bolt-on construction of the maple neck and alder body promises smooth Sustain and stability, while the gold anodized pickguard completes the classic look.
The traditional appointments of the first mass-produced electric bass provide an unmistakably authentic feel.
Body and neck are connected via a 4-way bolt-on joint with typical neckplate.
Historical Construction
The Vintera II '50s Precision Bass is naturally assembled to historic Fender specifications, promising the sound and feel of a true vintage instrument. The contoured alder body in a high-gloss finish hugs the body comfortably in any playing position, while the bolt-on maple neck in the Late '50s-C neck profile with a nut width of 44.45 mm fits comfortably and broadly in the hand. Furthermore, the fretboard, also made of maple, is the ideal basis for expressive bends and vibrato due to the 7.25" fretboard radius.
The pickup in the "sweet spot" center position can be adjusted via a passive electrics with volume control and treble trim.
Vintage Split-Coil Pickup and Hardware Features
Both the pickup and hardware parts of the Fender Vintera II '50s Precision Bass are modelled after the historic original. The single split-coil pickup made in-house delivers the unmistakable rumble with classic punch of the P-Bass, ideal for any genre between tight rock and groovy blues. Also, the top-class FenderHardware contributes to the visual and tonal qualities of the instruments from the Fender Vintera II series and accordingly, a 4-saddle Vintage bridge and Vintageopen-gear tuners provide comfortable tuning conditions and sustain.
