Offset body and narrow neck
When building the Vintera '60s Jazz BassFender naturally follows the historical guidelines of the sixties to get as close as possible to the feel and sound of an original from that time. Due to the asymmetrical offset design, the alder body promises a snug playing position with ideal balance both on the strap and on the thigh. The slim "Mid '60s C" maple neck with the obligatory nut width of 38 mm also convinces with agile playing characteristics up to the highest positions of the 20-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard with historically accurate 7.25" radius (184 mm), so that classic and modern playing techniques are equally comfortable.
Two Fender vintage-style '60s Jazz Bass single coils and traditional circuitry with two volume controls and tone pot promise diverse bass sounds for almost any genre.
Vintage style single coil pickups
As pickup for the Vintera '60s J-Bass Fender chooses two in-house Vintage-Style '60s Jazz Bass single coils in the usual sixties positions. Made on the basis of historical models, the single coils deliver a wide-ranging sound spectrum that makes the electric bass guitar a sought-after all-rounder for almost every genre between funk, soul, blues, rock, metal and jazz. While the bridge pickup comes up with an enormous assertiveness thanks to its well-dosed presence, the middle pickup delivers a full-bodied, yet transparent sound. In addition to a dedicated volume control for each pickup, a classic treble slider allows you to adjust the tone colour.
Four Fender American Vintage reverse open-gear tuners keep the Vintera '60s J-Bass securely in the correct tuning.
