In two of my strat guitars the whammy bar would become "wobbly" if I didn't tighten it 100%. Dropping one of these springs into the tremolo hole before screwing the whammy bar into place ensures there's a good amount of tension on the whammy bar, preventing it from having too much "play" in the bar when using it and with the added benefit of preventing your whammy bar from swinging too wildly when you are moving around.
Most of the time lost in the shop or after purchase, not even comming with the vintage style trems or squiers, this is the SOLUTION to the play in the tremolo arm action. Is an Strat player MUST have. (Unless you hardtail yours :))
