The Fender Texas Special Strat Pick-Ups (White) deliver superb blues tones, with plenty of midrange chirp, crystal highs and tight bass. The Fender Texas Special pick-ups redefined the Texas blues sound. The Custom Shop Texas Special Strat pick-ups are overwound, calibrated, vintage style Stratocaster pick-ups with plenty of mid-range chirp, crystal highs and tight bass. Alnico 5 magnets and enamel-coated magnet wire create increased output that demands respect! Throw in a reverse wound/reverse polarity middle pick-up for hum cancelling in positions 2 & 4. Texas-style pick-ups were used on the Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bonnie Raitt, American Texas Special, and many Custom Shop Stratocasters.
The main features of the Fender Texas Special Strat Pick-Ups (White) include:
Set of 3x (Bridge/Middle/Neck) Modern Custom Pick-Ups for Stratocaster Guitars
Alnico 5 Magnets
DC Resistance: 6.2k (Neck) 6.5k (Middle) 6.5k-7.1k (Bridge)
Top quality pick-ups. Waxed wires with soldered core strands. Simple, fool-proof wiring diagram. Screws and rubber spacers included. Staggered pole pieces and the ‘g’ string pole is quite high so the pickups had to be adjusted fairly low to stop magnetic reaction on the string. Superb sound. Classic fender tone with a little more body than some slightly thinner sounding pickups. Neck has that tubular warm tone that is so familiar with the blues legends. Mid has a solid tone with body. Bridge has that classic ‘Country’ Fender, slightly jangling tone but without thinning out. The 2 and 4 positions give clear and definite blend tones without losing any strength or warmth. These pickups give a tone with warmth and body that just makes me want to play and not stop. I have nothing negative to say about them. They’re as good as you can get. I’ve tried many pickups over the years and I’m very happy with these right now.
